As a doula, one of my duties is supporting parents in caring for themselves so they can better care for their little ones. I do this by providing virtual or in-person support, encouragement and a listening ear, but one of the most important things I do is connect parents to resources in our community; so that they continue to feel supported once doula care ends. My dear friend Robyn Kopriva, is a Registered Social Worker and is Certified in NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback, she is the owner of Great Lakes Neurofeedback, here in Sarnia, Ontario. Being a parent in today's overstimulated and busy modern society is tough. Many are bombarded with ‘to-do’ lists, deadlines, demands and frustrations all while trying to manage the family's needs. Many parents would say self-care often falls to the wayside…
